The organizational structure of Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority Inc. ® includes a conglomerate of professional women who dedicate themselves to the advancement and growth of the organization. These women focus on empowering and supporting our members through effective communication, motivation, and leadership initiatives. They are responsible for making sound decisions and fostering positive relationships within and beyond the organization. The leadership of our organization encourages the professional and personal advancement of its members and the success of its chapters.
The Board of Directors is the governing body where as the Regional Boards serve as the operational branch of the sorority. The Board of Trustees operates as an advisory council.
The mission of the Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. Board of Trustees (BOT) is to safeguard the Sorority’s long-term stability, integrity, and strategic direction. The BOT serves as the organization’s strategic and fiduciary steward, ensuring long-term stability, accountability, and mission alignment. Comprised of experienced sisters dedicated to advancing the Sorority’s future, the Board provides governance oversight, safeguards organizational assets, and supports sustainable growth across all national initiatives.
Working collaboratively with the Board of Directors and the Friends of Chi Upsilon Sigma Foundation, the Board of Trustees guides strategic planning, strengthens compliance and risk management practices, and upholds the values that define Chi Upsilon Sigma. With a focus on continuity, transparency, and responsible leadership, the Board remains committed to protecting our legacy while empowering generations of sisters to come.

The Board of Directors (BOD) is the national governing entity that oversees all operational functions of the organization, and is the foremost regulating authority. The BOD works with the BOT to ensure the integrity of decisions under the mission and purpose of Chi Upsilon Sigma ®. They also oversee standing committees including the Leadership Development, Philanthropic, Marketing, Convention, Banquet and Historical Society.
The BOD is comprised of alumnae who serve as executive board members for two year terms based on a split election system. These women represent various regions and dedicate themselves to the objectives of the organization and its members. The positions include:

The Regional Boards serve as resources for the chapters within each designated region. The Regional Board Members oversee administrative tasks and assist the Board of Directors with operational activities, allowing BOD to focus on national issues. They assist and represent the chapters within their region and report directly to the BOD. The board positions include:

The current breakdown of regions follows NALFO’s regionalization model. The Regional Board is especially crucial in those regions where CUS currently has no presence and the members can focus specifically on expansion in those areas. This allows our chapters to be aligned to our umbrella organization’s activities and governance as the organization continues to develop. The breakdown of states in each region are as follows:
